Coaches Code of Conduct:
I pledge to care more about the development of my players than winning games. Winning is a consideration, but not the only one. As a youth coach of the South Jersey Lacrosse Club I promise to:
· Be a POSITIVE ROLE MODEL, displaying personal and professional integrity both on and off the field.
· Demanda RESPECTFUL ATMOSPHERE within my team, towards each other, opponent players and coaches, and referees.
· Requiremy team to PLAY BY THE RULES at all times.
· Encouragemy players to WORK HARD towards skill improvement and game knowledge at practices and games.
· Demonstrate and teach GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP by promoting fair play and positive support for all players. Whether we win or lose it will be with DIGNITY and CHARACTER.
· Keep the games and practices FUN as well as CHALLENGING and provide a positive athletic experience for my players.
· KEEP INFORMED about sound principles of coaching, as well as growth and development principals related to youth lacrosse players.
· Practice OPEN COMMUNICATIONS with players and parents.
I recognize that I play an influential role in the development and success of my players as young athletes. I will strive to encourage by positive example and diligence their growth in good sportsmanship, skill and self-discipline.
